Außerdem casten die hier eine fiktive Figur und suchen nicht nen vorzeige Schauspieler. Sollte sie auf die Rolle gut passen und sie schauspielerisch gut ausfüllen, dann ist es mir doch vollkommen egal was die in ihrer Freizeit macht. Weiß garnicht wieso man sich über sowas aufregt.

Aber wenn man bedenkt dass bei Lost schon Leute fliegen wegen ein paar Strafzetteln....
Ich kann mir einfach nicht vorstellen dass sie jemanden da haben wollen würden, der privat (und man weiss ja heutzutage dass sich Fans jedes Alters mit den Schauspielern auch "privat" und nicht nur als Charakter auseinandersetzen) sich absolut klar für den Gebrauch von Drogen ausspricht.

Ich glaub mometan eh noch nicht dran, dass Frau Allen es wirklich wird. Das Gerücht, dass sie als Companion kommt gab es schon als noch nicht bekannt war, ob Tennant nun geht oder bleibt.

Ich hab für mein LJ mal nen Text betreffend Matt Smith geschrieben. Falls es wen interessiert, stelle ich den auch noch hier rein.

I think the problem most of the people have with him is that he is somehow unknown. He had some smaller roles (like in The Ruby in the Smoke which I watched and I’ll come to this later) on TV and even a small part in the Colin Farrell movie In Bruges (I’ve watched the movie an Monday without knowing he was in it thus I didn’t keep my eyes open for him, it must’ve really been a very very small part). But from what I’ve read he did a lot of theatre.
This mirrors in his performance in The Ruby in the Smoke. But I’ll come to that.
Some do even complain about the way he looks. Let’s just say he is not the kind of man you would call good looking. His face looks a bit weird. But this makes him kind of inimitable and this is what a Doctor needs. I like David Tennants Doctor but he is I think the only Doctor who looks somehow normal.
And maybe it is just me, but I think Matt Smith resembles Jon Pertwee a bit.
Another problem for most of the fans complaining about him is that they say they can’t respect him. Why? Because he is younger than they are. Well... what a lot of bullshit! Of course can an actor of his age play a Time Lord, if he is a good actor. Moffat said Matt did an outstanding performance during the casting that he did change his mind of casting a 40 year old for the part. Okay, I’m just 23 but I think I can respect someone who is a little bit older than me as this character. Respect doesn’t come from the age of the actor, it originates from the performance the actor delivers. And also his voice doesn’t sound like the voice of a 20-something guy. So if you don’t think you can respect the Eleventh Doctor, that’s your problem.
And at this point we only know the actor playing the part not the way this Eleventh Doctor will look or behave. Matt Smith told in the Confidential that this Doctor is there and he can’t wait to share this new Doctor with the world. Between the lines he said that Moffat created this new Doctor and again, I trust in Moffat.
I told that he was somehow unknown to me. Now I got me a copy of The Ruby in the Smoke to watch at least one performance. And what I saw was quite impressive. He plays a young man who functions as some form of a narrator and he helps Billie Pipers character Sally with the riddle her father left for her. His character looks young and no one except Sally seems to take him serious, but his knowledge is quite remarkable. It is a small part, of course, he isn’t even mentioned in the title-credits.
If the new Doctor will be like this part (which it won’t but even if it does), no one will say that the Eleventh Doctor is just the Tenth Doctor with another face. And the Victorian clothes quite suit him, I think. Just a suggestion for the art department.
One year will pass and after that period David Tennant will hand over the TARDIS key to Matt Smith. The feedback from the fandom so far is not that good. I on the other hand am really looking forward to 5x01 of Doctor Who. From my point of view Matt Smith will be a great Doctor. I see a lot of potential in him.
Of course it will also depend on the scripts the writers around Moffat will deliver. I can’t wait to see these names.

Wenn die Gerüchte sich so hartnäckig halten, und sie jetzt schon im Special dabei ist, ist wohl auch davon auszugehen das sie künftig an der Seite von Mr. Smith zu sehen ist...

Na ja, ich habe sie nur in Bionic Woman gesehen (wobei ich da nach zwei oder drei Folgen schon aufgehört habe) , nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht außergewöhnlich talentiert.
Erstmal abwarten, wie sie sich im Special schlägt, aber für mich ist das auch eher ein Anzeichen, dass sie nicht mit dem 11. Doctor reist, fände es eigentlich auch besser, wenn er einen komplett neuen Companion kriegt und keinen, der schon mit dem 10. unterwegs war.

Ich fände es aber auch toll, wenn der Doctor bei seiner zehnten Regeneration nicht alleine ist, also jemanden "an seiner Seite hat", der ihn danach auch noch weiter begleitet.

Wäre natürlich auch nett, aber ich fände es trotzdem besser, wenn der 11. Doctor jemand "unverbrauchten" kriegt (zugegeben, Michelle Ryan wäre auch nach den Specials noch ziemlich frisch).

Mein Wunsch wäre ja, dass sie nun im nächsten auftritt, den Doctor dann im letzten Special wieder trifft bzw. er sie und sie ihm dann während seiner Regeneration zur Seite steht. Fände ich für den Verlauf der Serie nämlich am besten, wenn es dann nicht so nen "Bruch" wie zwischen Paul McGann und Christopher Eccleston gibt.

Haben wir die gleiche Folge gesehen? Das war doch auf keinen Fall schlecht, zwar auch nicht gut, aber halt okay. Michelle Ryan hat mir aber auch überraschend gut gefallen, im Gegensatz zur Musik, die hätte ich größtenteils am liebsten abgestellt, frag mich echt, was da los war, Murray Gold komponiert doch sonst nicht so einen Dreck. Mehr dann aber morgen.
EDIT: Seh grade nochmal meinen Post zu The Next Doctor, da habe ich die Musik ja auch schon kritisiert, wenn auch nicht so harsch wie hier, hoffentlich kein neuer Trend.
